To help you commence your journey of acquiring the CMA credential, here is a guide that has proven to be beneficial when creating the CMA part 1 study plan:

Finalizing the time period for the exam

The first thing you need to finalize is the duration in which you would appear for the CMA examination. Each year a candidate can appear for either of the two CMA examinations in the following three two-month periods:

·         January and February
·         May and June
·         September and October

Thus, you can opt for any of the above durations. If you are highly focused and dedicated, you will be able to acquire your CMA credentials within a year.

     Finalizing your daily/weekly study schedule

Having a fixed time-table will ensure consistency in your preparations and prevent you from cramming content during the final week. Each individual is different and therefore, their studying pattern will be different as well. If you are someone who would wake up early in the morning, you should plan your time-table accordingly. Although, if you prefer studying late at night, you should ensure that all your tasks are completed during the day to ensure focused studying.

Learn from Authorized Study Material for the CMA Examinations
It is advised to prepare only with the authorized study material as it will help you get a clear idea of the examination pattern. Furthermore, their summary of key topics is based on years of CMA examination research and analysis.
